MONOQANT is a research and simulation tool. It does not execute trades, hold funds or give investment advice. This page explains the risks you should understand before relying on anything you see in it — and before trading anywhere else.

Trading can lose money

Trading in securities, derivatives, currencies or digital assets involves substantial risk, and you can lose some or all of the money you invest. Leveraged products can lose more than the initial deposit. Only trade with money you can afford to lose, and consider independent professional advice.

Simulations are not trading

Results in MONOQANT are paper simulations: trades are calculated, not executed. Simulated results have inherent limitations:

  • they are prepared with the benefit of hindsight and the chosen rules;
  • they assume orders are filled at a computed price — real orders can be filled later, partially, or at worse prices;
  • they do not reflect the emotional and financial pressure of real losses;
  • they can be tuned, intentionally or not, to look good on the data they were tested on.

Sample data is not market data

The prices in MONOQANT are synthetic, generated by documented models with fixed seeds. They are designed to illustrate typical market regimes, not to reproduce any real instrument or period. A strategy that behaves well on sample data may behave very differently on real prices.

Costs and slippage

Fees, spreads, slippage, financing costs and taxes reduce returns, often more than expected — especially for strategies that trade frequently. MONOQANT applies fixed cost assumptions that you choose; real costs vary with liquidity, volatility and order size.

Past and hypothetical performance

Past performance, whether real or simulated, does not guarantee future results. No result in MONOQANT is a forecast.

Models and AI explanations

Strategy templates are simplified rules. Summaries are produced by fixed rules and, where enabled, by a third-party AI language model. Models can misread a situation, omit important factors or state wrong things confidently. Treat any explanation as a prompt for your own thinking, not as evidence.

Data and software errors

Software can contain bugs and data can contain errors. Check important numbers yourself; the Methodology page documents the formulas.

Beware of promises

Be cautious of anyone — including people claiming to represent MONOQANT — who promises guaranteed or unusually high returns from an AI trading bot, asks for your passwords or exchange keys, or pressures you to act quickly. We will never ask you for funds, keys or passwords.

Monoqant runs simplified simulations on synthetic data. It is not a full backtest, not investment advice, and it does not hold funds or execute trades. Trading involves the risk of losing money. Risk Disclosure
